The JeepFest is an annual event that is sponsored and operated by the Pickens Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Donnie Craig is an avid and active supporter of the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes and hosts this event as one of the major annual fund-raisers for the Youth Homes.

The event is staffed by volunteers from law enforcement agencies and local Jeep Clubs from all over North Georgia ensuring a high-quality, safe and well organized event in a family-friendly environment.

Access has been secured to some exciting venues that are normally not open to public wheeling and crawling. There will be two main event areas providing several thousand acres of trails, trials and water crossings to match any degree of skill or ability. We are very excited about some of the sponsors and vendors that will be at the event providing you access to the some of the major names and manufactures in the off-road industry.

In the evenings you can hang out at the bonfire, grab a bowl of chili, socialize with other jeepers, kick tires and listen to some great country, bluegrass and gospel bands.

Tickets are $15 per person for theater seating. Get the feel of a nightclub setting with a table at floor level or even closer to the action with a stage set table. If you are a vendor and would like to participate in the Village Festival, there is a $15 application fee. There are no other fees to participate.

Camp Try-It is a week long camp on June 11 – 15, 2012 from 9 AM to 12 Noon that gives children a chance to try out all the academy has to offer. Everything from cello to voice, guitar to art, violin to piano and more will be offered. Cost for this camp is $75 per person. Scholarships are available.

Bee Sharp is a young writers and illustrators workshop which is also being held the week of June 11 – 15, 2012 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Another workshop will be held on July 9 – 13, 2012 from 9 AM to 11 AM. This workshop helps children to express themselves through short stories, poems, and illustrations. Their completed writings will be formatted into a book for them to keep. Cost for this camp is $75 plus $20 publishing costs per person. Scholarships are available.

Registration begins at 9 AM and a $25 fee will be due the day of the show. Any vehicle arriving after 12 noon will not be judged. Trophies and awards will be given at 3 PM and they include Best in Show, Best Truck, People’s Choice, Preacher’s Choice, Best Engine, Top 35 Cars and Trucks, and Knuckle Buster’s Award.
