Come on out to Jasper Jeep in Jasper, Georgia on June 9, 2012 for the 3rd annual Countyline Baptist Church Car and Truck Show. This judged event starts at 9 AM and runs until 3 PM. There will be entertainment, door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, concessions and, of course, vehicles!

Registration begins at 9 AM and a $25 fee will be due the day of the show. Any vehicle arriving after 12 noon will not be judged. Trophies and awards will be given at 3 PM and they include Best in Show, Best Truck, People’s Choice, Preacher’s Choice, Best Engine, Top 35 Cars and Trucks, and Knuckle Buster’s Award. If you are an avid reader, you won’t want to miss your chance to stock your bookshelves at this great book sale being hosted by the Friends of the Pickens County Library in Jasper, Georgia on September 9 and 10, 2011. The Jasper Lions Club in Jasper, Georgia is hosting a spectacular Independence Day celebration.

A carnival starts on June 29 and will run through July 4, 2011. The carnival opens at 5 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 1 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and 11 AM on Monday. Armbands will be available for purchase for $20 per person. They will NOT be available on Saturday or Monday.

A music festival will be going on all weekend as well. The CC Morgan Band, a Southern Rock band, will take the stage  on July 1, 2011. Saturday night, July 2, 2011 will bring some bluegrass music with The Lone Mountain Band. You can enjoy some gospel music on Sunday, July 3, 2011 with the group Chattanooga Choo Choo. All bands will be on the main stage at Lee Newton Park each night from 7:30 PM to 10 PM.

July 4, 2011 will start out with a parade at 10 AM on Main Street in Jasper, GA. An opening ceremony will start at 11:30 AM at the Grandstand at Lee Newton Park. The headline band, The Dashcrackers will play from 7 PM to 10 PM with a fireworks display following the concert. This year’s sponsors for the fireworks are Renasant Bank and the Pickens County Sheriff’s Department.

County Line Baptist Church is holding a Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show at Jasper Jeep in Jasper, Georgia on June 4, 2011 from 9 AM to 3 PM. This will be a judged show and trophies will be awarded for Best of Show, Best Truck or SUV, Best Motorcycle, People’s Choice, Preacher’s Choice, Best Engine, Top 30 Cars and Trucks, and Top 10 Motorcycles. Cash prizes of $250 for People’s Choice and $100 for Best Truck or SUV will be awarded by Jasper Jeep.

There will be door prizes and a 50/50 drawing along with food and entertainment. No alcohol is permitted.

Registration begins at 9 AM on the day of the show and the registration fee is $25. Vehicles arriving after 12:00 Noon will not be judged. The show will go on rain or shine. FATZ of Jasper, Georgia is holding a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on June 4, 2011 to raise money for people in Pickens County to help repair damage from the recent severe storms that have ravaged many parts of the county.
